5 reasons to host your business meeting in Bondi Junction
To locals, Bondi Junction or “the Jungo” means a weekly shopping trip to Westfield, a place to drop the kids to their activities or to stock up on supplies at Officeworks. But it’s also a great location to host your next business meeting or presentation. So why choose Bondi Junction for your next business meeting?
For visitors to Sydney from interstate and overseas, Bondi Junction is something of a mystery. Most think it is located within walking distance of Bondi Beach and many a lost backpacker is seen wandering about the Bondi Junction Mall looking vainly for surf!
However, for business, we get plenty of great feedback on this location for ease of access and great amenities. Here are the key factors we hear regularly from our customers.
A transport hub.
For events such as staff training or off-site meetings, staff may be travelling from all over Sydney and it’s surrounds. Often attendees may be from interstate. Bondi Junction is a transport hub with bus or train access to and from the whole of the Sydney metropolitan area. Bondi Junction is also geographically small so unlike Chatswood or Parramatta your destination will be no more than 10 minutes walk from the station.
For those coming from the CBD or needing to return to a city office before or after an event, the train from Bondi Junction will take around 20 minutes door to door.
Many groups hosting an annual team event will choose to break up a multi day session with some fun events. Bondi Junction is centrally located to get to the city for a bridge climb or to Bondi Beach for a team dinner. A popular schedule will be a Thursday (full day) team meeting then a Friday morning meeting before heading to lunch at Bondi Beach and on to a harbour cruise in the evening.
Easy to park, ride, bus or train
Unlike a CBD event, parking is easy in Bondi Junction with all day parking available at Eastgate, Waverley Library, or in Grafton Street at the Wilson Carpark. Street parking is generally timed by after 12 pm multi hour parking is available for shorter meetings and at our lovely meetings venue at 54 Bronte Road, Bondi Junction 1 hour free parking is normally easy to find in the surrounding streets off Bronte Road. So when you are coming by car or need ease of access to bump in or bump out for your event, Bondi Junction is much more accessible than a CBD venue.
Great food and coffee
Many team meetings will order food and coffee at The Little Space however there are also some wonderful local restaurant options. Our preferred caterers for in house dining are Chilterns Catering, Monty’s Sandwich Bar or Danny’s Cafe. But when it’s good to get out of for a change of scenery, try WA Japanese Restaurant, Bellagio Tuckshop casual dining, Osteria Riva for Italian style dining or to step just a little further beyond the perimeters of the junction head to one of the restaurants or cafes in Centennial Park or for a lunch to impress book a table at Centennial Hotel. Our favourite coffee spots are Triple Pick coffee tucked away in Gray Street, Bellagio Tuckshop, Gusto is ever reliable. And if you pop just down the hill from Eastgate toward Queens Park, try the wonderful Craig’s Cheese Shop for fabulous lunchtime salads and great coffee.
For last minute supplies, Officeworks is located in Ebley Street. There is also an Apple store in the heart of the junction. These stores have proved to be sanity savers for supplying last minute supplies of markers, flip chart paper, adaptors and chargers. And with Westfield only a few minutes walk from The Little Space, there is always somewhere to wander at lunchtime and if you can’t get what you need at Westfield Bondi Junction then you probably don’t really need it.
As Bondi Junction continues to develop new apartment buildings and retail and food outlets on Oxford Street, the amenities on offer will only continue to grow.
We love the #shoplocal movement and will always promote our local businesses so see you soon for your next business meeting or event at The Little Space, Bondi Junction.
