To create a workspace for those going quietly bonkers at home, we have introduced a private office space for casual hire  located at 54 Bronte Road, Bondi Junction.  Online bookings available here.

Access to the space is via stairs so limited access to others (no lifts) and you can close your door and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Services include wifi, desk, chair, lounge chair, natural light and access to on site kitchen and bathroom facilities.

There is ample on street and all day parking (at nearby Eastgate) or simply walk or ride your bike if you are nearby.

The space is available on a casual basis at $60 per day plus GST however if you wish to arrange multi day access we can provide you with a discounted multi day rate – just get in touch!

Staying sane in Covid-19

We are all feeling pretty weary by this …what is it…week 212 of isolation?  It seems timely to look at our top tips on staying sane and productive.

  1. Create a daily schedule.  My kids are home learning so follow a school timetable with a set start time, morning break, lunch break and end of day.  Even if they have additional homework, they head off to do exercise and roam the neighbourhood at 3.30pm whilst the sun is still out.   This gives a shape to the day and enforces some down time.
  2. Constant Zoom calls are exhausting.  Check out this article on how we are not really wired for video connection. Read it here.  Just as you would not be available all day for meetings and would mark out some space in your diary, apply these same rules to your Zoom day.   Or encourage a different communication mode such as Trello or Basecamp.  I love Basecamp as a team communication tool as it keeps my inbox clear and everything in one place.
  3. The reality is we are stressed, uncertain and anxious.  Some are affected more than others.  So if the day turns out to be not so productive, go easy on yourself.  There are lots of resource available.  Check out this one from Beyond Blue.

Conclusion

These are extraordinary times.  So head on in for a day at The Little Space in our lovely private.  You can book yourself in here  (book under ‘Private Office Space’).

But if you can’t do that, just go for a walk in the sunshine, check in on a friend, sip a cup of tea on your front step or just pat the dog.  No phone, just you and the dog.  Because no one does human connection like a dog!
